Season five of Monk continues to bring us the cases and struggles of Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) as he struggles to solve crimes despite his OCD and many phobias. This season finds Monk facing new issues in the same old way.

When the city garbage workers go on strike, it's up to Monk to solve a murder to get everything cleaned up. His assistant Natalie (Traylor Howard) convinces Monk to strike out on his own and open a private eye business. Monk's 25 year class reunion at Berkley involves a painful stroll down memory lane and the murder of a nurse. When Captain Stottlemeyer's (Ted Levine) son skips school to attend a rock concert, Monk finds a dead man in an outhouse. And in a "Wings" reunion, Steven Weber plays a shock jock that may have killed his wife. He just has the perfect alibi; he was on the air at the time.

This season featured two episodes at aired during the hiatus between parts of the season. In the first, Monk finally meets his dad, a trucker who needs Monk's help to solve a murder. The second is very interesting. "Mr. Monk and the Leper" was originally shown in black and white and color. It's a very noirish tale, and the black and white color scheme really adds to the episode. Both versions, including their original introductions are included in the set.

As always, this season provided many fun character moments and some hilarious situations. At times, the characters can become cartoonish. This felt especially true near the beginning of the season. But the actors do a great job of keeping things believable and human.

Since the set has both the black and white and color versions of the one episode, there are 17 episodes in this four disc set. Extras include an audio commentary (a first for the series) on the black and white version of "Mr. Monk and the Leper." Disc four contains some hilarious "webisodes" that premiered on line. I know I've seen at least one used as a promo on TV, however. Finally, there's the pilot of "Psych," a similar comedic mystery.

Here are the episodes on the season

Mr. Monk and the Actor:
A famous actor plays Monk in a movie about the obsessive compulsive detective. However, the more he spends time with Monk, the more Natalie grows concerned about how the actor's behavior takes a weird turn. He also gets too involved in a murder case Monk is currently trying to solve.

Mr. Monk and the Garbage Strike:
When a union boss' death threatens to prolong a city-wide garbage strike in San Francisco, it's up to Monk to help end the strike by determining whether the boss' death was suicide or murder. It also is very funny to see Monk try to clean up the city by himself.

Mr. Monk and the Big Game:
Julie and her friends hire Monk to look into the suspicious death of their basketball coach. Monk isnt too sure and soon realizes the case may have one twist even he wouldnt have seen coming.

Mr. Monk Cant See and Thing:
Mr. Monk looses his eyesight after a bizarre altercation with a murder suspect in a fire station. Determined not to let it disable him, he continues on to solve the case.

Mr. Monk, Private Eye:
When Natalie convinces Monk to go into business as a private eye, his first case is a small fender bender that leads to a far more dangerous investigation that involves plenty of twists.

Mr. Monk and the Class Reunion:
Monk attends his college reunion and uncovers a complex murder plot against one of his former classmates. Pretty cool episode in my opinion.

Mr. Monk Gets a New Shrink:
When Dr. Kroger retires after his cleaning lady is killed in his own office, it's up to Monk to solve the case and get Dr. Kroger back to work as soon as possible, or Monk may not make it.

Mr. Monk Goes to a Rock Concert:
Monk goes to a rock concert to look for Captain Stottlemeyer's son and finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation.

Mr. Monk Meets his Dad:
One of my favorite episodes in this season. When Monk's truck driving father rolls into town at Christmastime, Monk joins him on the road, where they stumble across a mystery that even Monk may not be able to solve.

Mr. Monk and the Leper:
A missing millionaire suffering from leprosy comes out of hiding to hire Monk, who soon finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation as well as realizing different stories may have one common, mysterious, factor.

Mr. Monk Makes a Friend:
An easy going guy named Hal bumps into Monk at a grocery store, and the two become fast friends. For the first time in his life, Monk appears to have a buddy. However Hal may not be all that he appears to be...

Mr. Monk is at Your Service:
When Natalie suspects foul play in the deaths of her parents' wealthy neighbors, Monk goes undercover as a butler to investigate

Mr. Monk is on the Air:
In one of the better episodes Monk goes toe to toe with a popular radio shock jock who is suspected of killing his wife.

Mr. Monk Visits a Farm:
When Lt. Disher inherits a farm from an uncle who committed suicide, he decides to quit the police force and start a new life in the country. But Disher soon suspects that his uncle was murdered, so Monk joins him on the farm to investigate.

Mr. Monk and the Really, Really Dead Guy:
When a dangerous criminal named the "Six Way Killer" strikes in San Francisco, Monk has to match his detective skills against the flashy forensic technology of a federal agent as they both pursue the murderer.

Mr. Monk Goes to the Hospital:
Monk goes to the hospital with a bloody nose, but when a doctor in the hospital turns up dead, Monk joins the murder investigation, and soon his own life is in grave danger.

The big selling point for Jam Sessions 2 is that players will pick up the game, play it, and not realize they are learning guitar as they do. I couldn't disagree more with that, however, as instead Jam Sessions has included a Guitar Hero-inspired single player mode, added all unlocks and editing pieces for your own music creations as unlockables – thus having players go through single player mode in order to gain all the pieces of their music tool – and really lost what the game was all about in the first place; freestyle jamming in a totally open, user-created experience.

Download Unlimited DSi Games FOR FREE!

Nobody is going to rip through dozens of cover songs, starting on mandated lower difficulties, replay them over with tougher settings, and then magically come out understanding music theory and chord progression. The final package is a fun experience, and the single player career-inspired "Song Book" mode is an entertaining and superior addition than the play along mode in the first game. As far as Jam Sessions pushing the "music tool" aspect of it's design, however, I don't see much evolution from the first game.

In fact, while single player mode is a fun Guitar Hero-inspired mode, there's no actual musical teaching is going on. You press the d-pad as indicated, and when notes fall you strum on the pad. In fact, while the game's multi-string system is a nice touch for freestyle play – it adds a lot more depth to it all – it's largely ignored during single player gaming, as all other stings are inactive when the game prompts you with a specific chord.

Download Unlimited DSi Games From Nintendo DSi Center!

It's tough to explain on paper, but you can essentially hold the right chord direction, strum across the entire pad, and still hit the right sound even if you were only supposed to be using two or three strings in tandem. After playing through hours of the single player mode, gamers will be better at playing Jam Sessions 2 the game, but they won't magically be absorbing actual knowledge on guitar playing as Ubisoft claims.

Very talented Fear Factory have released their latest CD titled Obsolete and Wow! It’s really a good one.

It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all.

Obsolete is a pleasantly varied, mix of 11 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly talented musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They’re all here.

This is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It’s quite simply great listening. A must buy if you're even mildly into Rock music.

While this entire album is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 7 - Freedom Or Fire, track 9 - Resurrection, and track 11 - Cars.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Shock. This is a great track!

Obsolete Release Notes:

Fear Factory originally released Obsolete on July 28, 1998 on the Roadrunner Records label.

CD Track List Follows:

1. Shock 2. Edgecrusher 3. Smasher/Devourer: Smasher / Devourer 4. Securitron (Police State 2000) 5. Descent 6. Hi-Tech Hate 7. Freedom Or Fire 8. Obsolete 9. Resurrection 10. Timelessness 11. Cars

Fear Factory: Burton C. Bell (vocals); Dino Cazares (guitar); Christian Olde Wolbers (bass); Raymond Herrera (drums, percussion). Additional Personnel: Gary Numan (spoken word); El Feroce, Susie Hodge, Walter Creery, Falstaff Fallen, Monty Washington, Coco Collingwood, Narcisso, Pepe Lamoco, Cleo Ledingham, Chelsea Devon (strings); Rhys Fulber (keyboards, programming); DJ Zodak (scratches). Recorded at Mushroom Studios & Armoury Studios, Vancouver, Canada from February to May, 1998.

One of the more popular models from Garmin is the Nuvi 205 / 205w. It is a compact and reasonably priced GPS navigation system. It hit the market in mid 2008 and has been an incredible success for Garmin. The 205 / 205W offers a built in MSN Direct receiver for on the go traffic updates.

Features:

The 205 series GPS is quite compact - boasting an LCD crystal clear display in a housing that is less than an inch in thickness. As with most Garmin GPS navigation units it offers fast satellite acquisition and performs with fast and accurate real time navigation without the sluggish "Lag". This is due, in most part, to the integrated flash memory and the swift speed of the built in microprocessor. Most all Garmin users never have a reason to complain about the performance of their GPS unit's performance, and we don't expect anyone to do so with the 205 series either.

The Garmin Nuvi 205 series comes with Garmin's City Navigator map database which offers specialed detailed map data for the area in which you live. Available in the US, the Garmin 205 series will also be offered for sale in most European countries such as UK, France, Ireland, and more. The navigation map display offers users the choice of 2D or 3D perspective and includes turn by turn voice prompts to get you to your destination safely. The Nuvi 205 series does not offer text to speech, but is easy to use and works as effectively as higher end units.

The Nuvi 205 does offer an MSN direct receiver that gives it's user the ability to gather relevant real time data such as weather, movie times, and even gas prices. The MSN Direct service is free. It also has information on nearby emergency services such as fire, hospitals, and police. As with all new Garmin products, users can download their own map symbols and avatars for use on the navigation screen. This, of course, isn't a requirement, but it adds an element of fun to your navigation experience.

The Garmin Nuvi 205 Series does not offer music or video playback, but it does have a picture viewer feature.

If you're looking for a compact navigation unit that you can rely on then this is one to consider. It weighs a modest 5 ounces and has a powerful lithium ion battery that can last up to four hours. Software/firmware updates are a piece of cake with it's built in USB port. As with Garmin's other units it automatically adjusts screen colors/brightness for day/night use and adjustable volume levels. Some other useful tools found in the menu are currency converter, clock, and a mathematical calculator. Above all this is the ability to receive FM-based traffic information which can really come in handy on your morning commute.

Dhoom 2, which came out in November 24, 2006, was such a big hit that it had a very successful opening in India and overseas. In the US alone, it had earned US$2,642,290 by early 2007. Dhoom 2 is a hugely commercialised film which does not have a proper story line, if it has any. Rather, the movie has spent much time and effort on all aspects of commercialisms in terms of the cast, entertainment, glamour, songs etc.

To some, having a good story or plot might be the most important thing to look out for in a film. Perhaps not too much of it should be expected, since the purpose of a movie is meant to entertain in various ways (acting, glamour, music, cinematography, video editing etc) apart from a good storyline. If people were to keep expecting just good stories from movies, they might as well read a good novel instead.

Then again, the director should not have neglected the story so much to the extent that critics come up with endless lists to highlight all the flaws which are so apparent throughout the movie.

Story:

As mentioned before, the story is not really paid attention to. A mysterious their, who calls himself Mr. A (Hrithik Roshan), goes literally around the world stealing priceless items in highly sophisticated ways. The purpose of his behaviour is not explained. A hot pursuit by an ACP, Assistant Commissioner of Police (played by Abhishek Bachan), then follows and along the way, Mr. A finds himself a voluntary partner Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai) whom he later finds out that she is sent to spy on him. She finds out later that she has fallen for him in a typical Bollywood fashion and joins hands with him after that.

The star appeal of each actor has been highlighted through their respective introductory scenes which may seem unnecessary to most viewers. In fact, most of the scenes are unnecessary but that is because story is not the focus of this movie at all.

Screenplay:

Fun and entertainment are primarily the main attention in this movie. This movie is taken in a rather commercially appealing way right from the start till the very end. Probably this is where its success is attributed to.

Eye candy supplied by Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu are part of the fun factor which is simply meant to divert the audience’s attention from wondering what the story is about.

Uday Chopra is the main entertainment factor as he does his comic antics to keep a smile on the audience’s faces.

Cinematography:

Cinematography is awesome. Every robbery scene is well taken care by the camera angles and shots.

Video Editing:

Video editing is quite well done, even though more of it could be implemented since the movie is done purely for entertainment.

New York has a lot of things to be proud of. One of them is Radio City Music Hall.

Established in 1932, after the stock market crash, by John D. Rockefeller, Jr, Radio Corporation of America (RCA) and impresario S.L. "Roxy" Rothafel, Radio City Music Hall is a venue unlike any in the world. Located at the heart of New York, on 6th Avenue between 50th street and 51st street, Radio City Music Hall was built as a part of Rockefeller's a great idea to design an area in New York where businesses, merchants and citizens could merge. Today, this is known as the Rockefeller Centre.

Radio City Music Hall is the largest of all indoor theatres around the globe. Designed by Donald Deskey, the venue's marquee is a full city-block long. Entering the theatre, visitors cannot help being overwhelmed by its art deco look, sweeping arches on the walls and the ceiling and its choral staircases. The absence of columns facilitates actors and performers to bring live action very close to spectators, who enjoy a perfect view from any sitting in the three shallow mezzanines of the venue. The stage of Radio City Music Hall is the most appropriately equipped in the world as it is built on hydraulic-powered elevators, which facilitate the swift change of sets and creation of spectacular effects in the three sections of the Great Stage. A fourth elevator is used for lifting and lowering the orchestra according to the programmed staging effects.

The "Mighty Wurlitzer" organ, built exclusively for Radio City Music Hall, has thrilled the venue's audiences for more than sixty-five years. Housing its 32 feet pipes in eleven separate rooms, the "Mighty Wurlitzer" organ spreads its magnificent sounds in the venue. The theatre contains more than 25,000 lights featuring four-color stage lighting, while the advanced mechanical equipment allows for fountains of water, torrents of rain, fog and clouds.

Some of the legends that have performed on the Great Stage of Radio City Music Hall are Frank Sinatra, Bill Cosby, John Denver, Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis, Jr., Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, Jose Carreras, Linda Ronstadt, BB King, and many others. After the renovation in 1999, which cost nearly $73,000,000, the venue hosted Liza Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, The Eurythmics, Sting, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, 98 Degrees, Mary j. Blige, Echo & The Bunnymen, Celine Dion and many others, who have thrilled the audiences of the Hall.

The lifetime experience of Radio City Music Hall is the Christmas spectacular, which attracts more than one million visitors from all over the world. The legendary eight-week show is every year a sold-out since 1993 that it made its debut. Starring the world famous Radio City Rockettes, the Christmas spectacular in an unmatched show performed with high precision in choreography and huge professionalism.

By and large, Radio City Music Hall is a unique venue, with a long-established reputation. The Hall offers a lifetime experience to its audience and is a must, not only for the tourists, who visit New York, but for the local people as well. If you even have the chance to get there, do not miss it.

Being a strong advocate of simplicity in life, I love my family, my partner and all the people that have stood by me with or without knowing. And I hope that someday, human nature will cease to be greedy and demanding realizing that the more we have the more we want and the more we satisfy our needs the more needs we create. And this is so needless after all.

What is the Internet all about? The bottom line is that the Internet is a source of information and solutions to problems. To get quality information is the reason why people frequently surf the Internet. It is the process of connecting people with the best possible quality information they are looking for, is the ultimate purpose of search engines. This entire process of connection is done by keyword keywords. The Internet searcher types and keywords into the search bar of a search engine, and the search engine takes them to websites have the most relevant information about those keywords.

To be successful in Internet marketing, marketers need to provide quality information and solutions to problems in the niche where they are marketing. Poor quality information will not be picked up by search engines because the search engines goal is to be the favored search method by consumers. If search engines do not connect searchers with the solutions they are looking for online, they will use a different search engine.

PortalFeeder, a private online marketing membership site, provides its members with cutting edge tools and training for creating quality websites and blogs with unique content. PortalFeeder gives training as to how to optimize sites and blogs with keywords and SEO strategies so that PortalFeeder websites rank high in the search engine and generate good targeted traffic.

However, since joining PortalFeeder my online business has become successful because of the software tools, training, and the many other aspects, too many to mention, that can be found in the PortalFeeder site.

PortalFeeder will be opening its doors for the first time in nine months, giving an opportunity for people to become part of its community for a short time.

"Albert Hammond, Jr." is an indie pop/rock artist from Los Angeles, California. He plays the guitar and his favourite guitar instruments are Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul. He is also a guitarist of indie rock band, The Strokes. When he’s with The Strokes, he often plays the rhythm guitar. As he ventures into his side project solo career, he still plays the similar musical soundscape as The Strokes, a bit of garage and indie pop rock.

Como Te Llama opens with a very guitar-oriented "Bargain Of A Century". The beginning few seconds, i can hear the bass as if it’s running on a open field. Once the music catches on, you can hear the banjo beginning to play. When Albert Hammond, Jr. takes the stage, he sings in an energy-less voice. The guitar did a very good job in helping out this track. Well, this is how Albert Hammod, Jr. sings right? Very similar to the style of Julian Casablancas.

"In My Room" is a more lively track. The beginning guitar shows some rocking sense. Albert Hammond, Jr. will sing, and the guitar will follow, complementing each other. From here, the music rhythm also shows some similarities to the music of The Strokes. When the chorus comes, Albert goes, "I miss you already…" The second verse of In My Room carries a more lively and energetic approach, and then the whole track just follow through. The ending 30 seconds you can also hear some sounds of organ jamming with the sounds of guitars. A great way to end!

"Lisa" has a steady beginning where you can hear the music getting fuller as the seconds go by. It starts off with drums, and then followed by a groovy bass line, next is the guitar which sounds like it’s playing in an overlapping loop. A few seconds after Albert Hammond, Jr. enters for the verse, the piano just come with a four-note sound that blends in very well with Lisa. It’s very cute to hear the piano keeps doing that throughout the track. Lisa has its moments where the guitars and piano sound really catchy. During the break, violin comes in and sort of transforms Lisa from a catchy tune to an emotional tune. I would say this track is like eating you slowly… Really sweet and cute here!

"GfC" sounds very cute at the beginning with the trademark guitar work by Albert Hammond, Jr. And when the chorus comes, i like the bass that is going on in the background as Albert keeps singing. The verse of GfC builds the tempo and the pace, and only shows Albert’s shouts and screams in the chorus. After the second chorus, the guitar solo can be heard before GfC ends in a similar way as it opens. This is really good!

"The Boss Americana" begins with heavy and slow guitar work before Albert Hammond, Jr. comes in at the verse. This song is kind of loud compared to the previous four songs. The guitar riff in the verse has some 90s elements in it which recalls me of rock songs from the 90s. The chorus in contrast, is softer where Albert goes, "I won’t know, if i won’t ask you to stay, would you let me go, and i will have your way…." The rhythm guitar in the background really resembles to those of The Strokes, you would accidentally think that this track is performed by The Strokes if you didn’t look at the artist behind this track.

The first few seconds of "Rocket" will have you think that this is going to be an explosive track. When the march-like drums come in, Albert Hammond, Jr. just goes on repeating, "Oh my rocket…" At some points throughout this track, some howls can be heard here and there. Before the second verse, the guitar pluckings that come in is really good. It stands out from the rhythm and music. This song is sort of draggy and slow, like a slow rock track.

"Victory At Monterey" has a very groovy bassline accompanied by some space-like soundscape. When the chorus comes, the guitar and bass work like bread and butter. It just gives an impression that Victory At Monterey is shifting into another gear and at a different speed level. The bass in this track is sexy as well, after a while, you would think that you’re listening to some dance/electronic track in a club. It makes you want to get up and dance. Victory At Monterey is a track that deems not to be missed, Albert Hammond, Jr. just hit you with this music piece. Wish i can have more of this…

"You Won’t Be Fooled By This" is a track that has clear guitar riffs. The singing of Albert Hammond, Jr. is often than not, drown out by the sound of the guitar. The echoic guitar is very consistent from start to finish. Only in the chorus, where Albert goes on a repetitive mode, "You won’t be fooled by this…", the music changes slightly where the guitar strums into another note which sounds much lighter. Violin also creates a special appearance in the second chorus and in the last 30 seconds, the group howling is really something that stands out in You Won’t Be Fooled By This. Love the ending!

"Spooky Couch" is an over seven minutes long instrumental track. It has a dreamland soundscape that would make you think as if you’re in a dream world. The guitar in this track just comes in on and off as the track flows through. Spooky Couch doesn’t sound like what the title suggest, for me it’s just plain gorgeous. Sean Lennon is a featured guest on this track where he plays the piano. All together, they make Spooky Couch one of the most beautiful tracks on the album. The remaining 1:30 minutes will just blow you away, so be really indulged with Spooky Couch. A surprise by Albert Hammond, Jr. Soothingly beautiful!

"Borrowed Time" is a reggae-ish track, bringing you the atmosphere and feeling of the beautiful Hawaiian island. The keyboards in this track just work closely with the guitar, creating a unique sound between them. When the chorus comes, the track just turn up the tempo and Albert Hammond, Jr. just howls and moans. Without much singing, Borrowed Time is just another fine track.

"G Up" has it going on with the guitar work that really resembles The Strokes’. Even the way Albert Hammond, Jr. sings just keeps reminding me of The Strokes. The guitar in this track hardly stops and rests, it just keeps playing in a very consistent manner. I pay more attention to the music and rhythm of this track rather than the singing of Albert. If you listen carefully, the guitar on this track sounds like a fast version of a reggae guitar. Fierce yet soft.

"Miss Myrtle" has really good guitar sound. It lets you chill to the music itself. As Albert Hammond, Jr. sings, the guitar just helps Albert out with the repetitive strum of the guitar. The process of it is really good. As the chorus comes, the whole track just gets louder and the guitar riff that you first hear in the beginning just comes back and follows Albert’s singing. It’s simple, but really good. A happy track for anyone wanting to brighten up their day.

"Feed Me Jack Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Peter Sellers" is the last track on Como Te Llama. Albert Hammond, Jr. decideds to have a ballad to close the album. This track starts off with piano and soon joined by violin as Albert sings on. Perhaps this is the track that we see Albert sings with his heart and passionately. As it gets nearer to the end, Albert screams as the music plays on and fades. Just another way to end the night.

“Cut Copy” is 3 piece band from Melbourne, Australia. Their music genres include Alternative Dance, Electropop and Dance Punk. Cut Copy consist of Dan Whitford (The Founder of Cut Copy), Tim Hoey and Mitchell Dean Scott. Former member, Bennett Foddy left Cut Copy in 2004 for further education. Cut Copy have toured with some indie big names like Franz Ferdinand, Junior Senior, Bloc Party and others. One of their hit single, “Lights and Music” was featured in FIFA 09. Hm, listening to Cut Copy while play FIFA, not bad at all.
In Ghost Colours by Cut Copy sounds very futuristic, think of 3 Daft Punks playing together, the result that you would get is Cut Copy!

Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours has a very lovely and poppy opener! “Feel The Love” will make you feel so light in a way that this song is very suitable if you’ve having a birthday party at your home, it’s just so friendly, so appeal to our ears. There are some ligh guitars, and the electro-pop genre can be clearly heard in this track. “Hey you….. (followed by some robotic voices)” is just so simple… Making you feel guitly if you’re not singing along.

“Out There on the Ice” continues directly from Feel The Love. This track is groovy in an electronic and electropop way. As Dan sings, there would be background vocals performed by Tim and Mitchell. Midway through the track, you would think that you’re in a live concert, seeing Cut Copy performing on stage. The only difference is that the sound recording sounds better here.

Wow, the next track is called “Lights and Music”. The bass will just get you up and make you put down everything that you’re doing and just focus on listening to this track. Really! Nice vocal teamwork by Cut Copy again. As Dan sings, the rest of Cut Copy will contribute their part, “aa aa ai..” & “woo hoooo…” Heck, even i can be a great background vocalist! Let this track show you how to chill in a club. “Lights and music, are on my mind, be my baby, one more time…”

“We Fight for Diamonds” is a prelude for the next track. From a distant soundscape, it evolves to an eventual loud sound and then gradually fades back and the real deal starts approximately the last 17 seconds.

“Unforgettable Season” starts straight after We Fight For Diamonds. It has the sound and atmosphere of the 90s music, and a bit of 80s. It’s more like a pop song rather than electronic. Perhaps this song will take you back to the past, rather than the future. A light tune on a cheerful note.. Not bad at all from Cut Copy.

Cut copy continues In Ghost Colours with “Midnight Runner”. Midnight Runner focuses on the music and it’s pure instrumental except for Dan singing, “It’s a secret I’ve been keeping from you..” Cut Copy made this song sounds so simple yet so attractive and addictive. Honestly, i find Midnight Runner such an enjoyable track, and if possible, i want this song to be longer and more.

“So Haunted” has a brief opener that reminds me of Muse’ “Take A Bow”. Throughout this whole track, the riffing of the guitar can be heard. And again, reminding me of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s “Whatever Happened To My Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Not a bad combination. When it gets to the chorus, “I get so haunted, I fall in your dreams tonight, I get so haunted, That I misunderstood tonight..” The whole song goes into another mode. It sounds lighter, and the music was just so good. Trust Me, you’ll like this song. Even the last 1 minute ends on a cheerful note.

Another instrumental, “Voices in Quartz” is over 1 minute long. It builds us up to the next track. Get our momentum running and ready to take on the next track.

So In Ghost Colours continues with “Hearts On Fire” (a re-recorded version). Dan expresses his feelings for a girl in this song, “There’s something burning up inside, I reach out for you and our hearts collide, with hearts on fire I reach out to you tonight…” Just looking at the lyrics, i thought that this song is going to be an eletropop and dance punk love song. And it proves just way too good. Everyone on the dancefloor will dance to Hearts On Fire. 2 in 1, romance plus dance punk, and the result is simply lovely. At some point, saxaphone can be heard to furnish the rhythm and atmosphere.

“Far Away” brings me back to the 80s and 90s again. The beat of this song is so catchy, repetitive of guitar and bass can be heard clearly on an infectious note. You can’t help but smile and slowly let your body sway to this cute and lovely track. And the lyrics goes, “And you could say, give your love to me, but I was far away, and you could be handing love to me, but I was far away” Could it be that long distance relationship is hard to keep?

“Silver Thoughts” is just 29 seconds long, it’s like Cut Copy is having a short break. Some electronic beats and background voices can be heard.

“Strangers in the Wind” has a very calming and lounge-feel opening. From the lyrics, it sounds that as if Dan is singing about a girl whom he doesn’t know much about. “These hands, like strangers in the wind, these eyes, float in the breeze”. Keep an ear for the music, there’s something about the music of this song that makes it stand out. With Cut Copy’s talent and experience in electronic music, it’s no surprise they can turn an ordinary song to one that keeps playing in your head.

“Visions” is the last instrument on In Ghost Colours. Only the last 30 seconds, instruments like bass and guitar can be heard. It won’t be long before the next track bites it off.

“Nobody Lost, Nobody Found” starts off with the immediate playing of guitar, bass, drum and other electronic beats and magic. The chorus got me away, when Cut Copy goes, “Burning in the face of love.. Burning in the face of love.. Ha ha ha..” They go so effortlessly but yet, i can enjoy this song so much. Oh boy, they put magic into their electronic music.

“Eternity One Night Only” has a slow opening, but gradually sound louder some time into the song. While someone’s voice is being played in the background, Cut Copy harmonized the song with some light vocals. Some movie would love to include this song in their movie, especially the part when two lovers are spending time together or recalling their lovely moments together, or even when the movie ends and the credits of the movie begin to show and appear. Cut Copy closes In Ghost Colours with a low and yet powerful note. Bravo!

Rating: Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours is a rare electropop and dance punk album that scores straight away from start to finish. Every song has its uniqueness and flavour. Personally, i’m not much of an electropop or electronic music fan, but with Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours, i think i’m starting to like it. I have to add one more indie genre to my account. For birthday parties or other relevant parties, Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours would serve awesomely well. From dancing to chilling out, from romantic dance to romantic talk, it all can be done with Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours. Beautiful and perfect electronic music stuffs, i can’t help but give it 8 out of 10.

Stand-Out Tracks (My Picks): Feel The Love, Lights and Music, So Haunted, Hearts on Fire, Unforgettable Season and Strangers in the Wind.

Rocker Rob Zombie has bounced back as a writer and director from his previous mess of a film House of 1000 Corpses with The Devil’s Rejects, an homage to ‘70s gore and chase films. Rejects finds the murderous Firefly clan, Otis (Bill Mosseley), Baby (Sheri Moon), and Mother Firefly (Leslie Easterbrook), being ambushed at their own home by Sheriff John Quincy Wydell (William Forsythe), the brother of the police office they killed in the previous film. Otis and Baby barely manage to get out alive through the bullets and mayhem, but Mother isn’t so lucky as she is taken prisoner by Wydell.

At a nearby motel Otis and Baby resort to terrorizing a group of traveling musicians as they wait for the arrival of their father James Cutter (Sid Haig), aka Captain Spauding, a somewhat local celebrity with the local spookhouse.

Wydell will stop at nothing to bring the Firefly clan to justice as he sees it his godly duty to do so. As Wydell grows closer Cutter takes his family to the only other relative he believes can help him- his brother Charlie Altamont (Ken Foree) who operates the local brothel. Nothing is as it seems as family members turn on one another in an onslaught of blood, deception, and utter chaos befitting a film homage to the ‘70s.

With this film has riding for it that Zombie’s previous film is a signature style that doesn’t seem to be a hodge-podge of styles. Corpses was a hyper-real music video experience that was mind-numbingly compromised by the style leaving nothing left but a hollow straight-to-DVD experience, whereas, with Rejects the style compliments the characters and their chaotic lifestyle and journey through oblivion. The two films are as different as apples to oranges and it makes Rejects all the better.

Rejects’ critical success also marks a turn in Zombie’s career as he is finally becoming respected by his genre peers and fans and with his contributions to Grindhouse (2007) and the his upcoming Halloween remake the sky is the limit.
